The maritime Research, Development & Innovation Facilities (RD&IF) is looking constantly at expanding its activities either by setting up a physical base, ideally within or adjacent to a sea port or through an off-shore platform; The RD&IF works very closely with major stakeholders, public bodies and agencies in the European Union (EU) and beyond, and this as may be felt necessary and appropriate; The RD&IF provides regular training, through joint exercises and efforts, to private and public sector personnel; The RD&IF constantly updates and develops new policies for improving its own logistics, for the reinforcement, supply and sustainability of its operations; Modern and state of the art equipment are utilised, including through joint procurement initiatives and for increased investment. The RD&IF and / or the Virtual Research Development & Innovation Training Facility (VRD&ITF) shall aim to become the “Premier” European Digital Training Eco-system facility, that is aligned with European Union (EU) strategies, inter-operability goals, and the rapid advancement of unmanned and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven systems.
