Main Strategic Objectives
"Scalable and Secure Training Delivery": To enable high-quality, scenario-based training to a large number of participants across borders, securely and at scale.
"Human-AI Hybrid Educational Training": Combining AI tutors (digital personas trained in specific areas) with expert human trainers to provide diverse and adaptive interactions.
"Advanced Simulation Environments": Virtual labs simulating underwater missions, sonar detection systems, unmanned system operations, and Earth monitoring.
"Continuous Innovation Integration": To incorporate outputs from EU-funded research allocations into our platform (s), turning the VRD&ITF (RD&IF) into a “Premier” European Digital Training Eco-system.
The regular and ongoing training and research on underwater observation, detection, acquisition and communications with the aim of performing an evaluation of critical technologies for detection of underwater threats, for the protection of marine life and infrastructure and coastal strategic areas and assets, and to identify novel technologies for improved situational awareness.
The outcome of training and research work are used as input for conceptional design studies of different Unmanned Underwater Super Systems (UUSS) types and other technologies.
